Job Summary
Performs diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics in accordance with accepted protocols. Responsibilities include executing appropriate diagnostic procedures, recording and reporting patient test results, and ensuring patient comfort and safety during tests. This position involves maintaining equipment, verifying supply levels, and preparing patients accurately. Compliance with regulatory agency standards is required, along with maintaining cleanliness in the department. Requires completion of a Cardiac Sonography program and relevant certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Cardiac Sonography program
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac Sonography
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
