Job Summary
Performs advanced non-invasive Cardiac Ultrasound imaging procedures in Cardiac Laboratories; handles proper billing of procedures and prioritizes patient scheduling to insure timely procedure completion; coordinates and prioritizes information gathering and communicates with patients and families courteous throughout; documents procedures in the patient chart and ensures accuracy of data in EPIC; assists in training and on-boarding of new sonographers, participates in ongoing education and in-service opportunities, and supports departmental protocols and policies to facilitate accurate diagnostic interpretation.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Medical Imaging program
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS OR Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI within 12 months of hire
- Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of hire date
