Job Summary
Conduct cardiovascular ultrasound evaluations by verifying patient identification and physician orders before acquiring diagnostic images with correct technical factors. Present pertinent medical information to interpreting physicians and manage PACS system workflows, including image transmission and data entry. Troubleshoot equipment issues and communicate necessary information to the Director. Maintain quality assurance activities and support laboratory accreditation projects. Requires ARDMS registration, BLS certification, and ability to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and handle patients up to 250 lbs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a formal Accredited School of Radiological Technology
- Active Registry in Medical Sonography by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers)
- BLS Certified
- Ability to comprehend and following instructions
- Time Management
- Ability for rapid mental/muscular coordination simultaneously
- Constant standing or walking
- Lifting/carry up to 50 lbs
- Push/Pull wheelchairs, stretchers or patients up to 250 lbs
- Manual dexterity and mobility
- Reaching at all levels
- Stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
- Safety glasses
- Occasional use of rubber gloves or hearing protection
- PPE as required
Desired Qualifications
- preferable a graduate of a formal diagnostic Medical Sonography Program
