Job Summary
Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, recording patient test results and reporting findings to physicians. Monitor patient comfort and safety during exams, alerting medical staff to abnormalities. Position patients and select anatomic parameters accurately while ensuring all activities comply with regulatory standards. Maintain equipment in proper working condition, verify supplies, and ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS. Assist in maintaining a clean and orderly department, including procedure rooms and storage areas. Work in a constant state of alertness, distinguishing body sounds and alarms. Requires completion of an Echosonography program and RCS, RCCS, or RDCS certification with adult or pediatric specialty. Weekend shift from Friday to Sunday, 3–12 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of Cardiac Sonography program
- ARDMS or CCI certification in cardiac Sonography
- Relocation assistance is available for qualified applicants
- Completion of an Echosonography program
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs
- Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors
- Occasional bending, stooping, squatting, twisting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements
- Rare kneeling and sitting
