Job Summary
Perform diagnostic procedures to assess cardiac structures and hemodynamics, recording patient test results and reporting findings. Monitor patient comfort and safety during tests, alerting physicians to abnormalities, while positioning patients and selecting accurate anatomic and technical parameters. Maintain adequate supplies, verify equipment functionality, and ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards. Submit high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct lead markers and patient data, maintaining a clean and orderly department. Work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner, performing other duties as assigned. Requires a Registered Cardiac Sonographer or equivalent certification and Basic Life Support. Variable shifts available.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an Echosonography program
- State of Work Location: Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, Wisconsin
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) - Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Adult Echocardiography (AE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) Specialty - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
