Job Summary
Perform basic adult cardiac echocardiogram procedures including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, and 3-D LVEF studies, while assisting with trans-esophageal exams. Edit tracings, make measurements, and enter data into the computer to distinguish normal from abnormal findings. Operate complex equipment to recognize arrhythmias and obtain optimal studies, maintaining a proactive approach to patient flow and concerns. Work adult echoes on-call and participate in pediatric on-call rotations with backup support. Train for exercise and pharmacological stress echocardiograms, and present findings at weekly imaging conferences. Ensure equipment failures are reported and documented while participating in quality assurance programs.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree from accredited cardiac ultrasound program
- RDCS/RCS-eligible background
- 1 year of cardiac echo experience
- RDMS certification Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer - Adult Echocardiography (RDCS - AE)
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)
- Licensed by the Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy in the state of New Hampshire
- BLS certification
