Job Summary

Perform cardiac sonography and Doppler studies by administering, monitoring, and operating diagnostic equipment to record images for patients across all age groups. Provide physicians with preliminary findings through timely data analysis and calculations while treating patients with care. Manage equipment positioning and improvisation when patient conditions prevent routine placement. Maintain Basic Life Support certification and pass the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers or Cardiovascular Credentialing International registry within one year. Work Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM with call rotations every fifth week covering off-hours Monday through Sunday.

Required Qualifications

  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Eligibility to sit for registry at time of hire
  • Successful registry certification within one year (ARDMS RDCS, CCI RCS, ACS, or RCCS)
  • License from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH)
  • Pass written exam for Basic EKG interpretation with score >85% initially
  • Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when patient condition does not permit routine positioning
  • Minimum of one year of experience in Echocardiography
