Job Summary
ECE Coach provides practice-based coaching for Head Start/Early Head Start teachers, Teacher Assistants, Home Based Visitors, and Family Child Care Providers. Responsibilities include conducting observations, modeling, giving actionable feedback, analyzing CLASS data to improve teacher-child interactions and student readiness, delivering initial and ongoing training and technical assistance on program philosophy, policies, procedures, curriculum, and other topics, designing classroom assessment plans, ensuring developmentally and linguistically appropriate practices, and collaborating with management to improve program goals. Requires a Bachelor's degree in ECE/related field, Child Development Permit (Master Teacher or higher), Infant/Toddler units, CPR/First Aid, food handler certificate, 3-5 years of relevant experience, travel up to 15%, and ability to communicate effectively and work with diverse families.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development and/or related field
- Possess and maintain a Child Development Permit (Master Teacher or Higher)
- Infant/Toddler units (3 to 6) with a B grade or better from an accredited college
- Current pediatric (infant/toddler) CPR/First Aid
- Food handler’s certificate
- Documented 3-5 years’ experience with infants, toddlers, and preschool children
- Experience providing training, coaching or technical assistance
- Experience with observation documentation/assessment and curriculum process
- Knowledge of HS/EHS performance standards
- Ability to train and present to groups
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally
- Ability to travel locally (up to 15%)
- Ability to pass criminal background checks and immunization requirements
