Job Summary
Assist in planning and implementing daily classroom activities while supervising the space when the Lead Teacher is absent. Treat each child with dignity, helping them develop problem-solving skills, independence, and self-confidence through activities that promote emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy learning environment by managing meal preparation, snack distribution, and general clean-up. Work closely with staff to ensure compliance with health and safety procedures while communicating daily milestones to parents. Maintain confidentiality and participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to sit on the floor
- Ability to move classroom furniture or equipment as needed
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents
- Willingness to obtain CPR and First Aid certification if not already certified
