Job Summary
Lead a Montessori-prepared environment supporting each child's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through planned lessons and age-appropriate materials. Foster a normalized classroom promoting independence, order, and concentration while ensuring compliance with state licensing and safety regulations. Build strong relationships with families via regular communication, conferences, and progress reports, and supervise assistant teachers to maintain a cohesive team. Maintain accurate student records and collaborate with staff on curriculum experiences within a supportive, child-centered setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Desired Qualifications
- Montessori Certification from an accredited Montessori training center desired - willing to train
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of one year of full-time teaching experience in an early childhood setting
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to supervise and mentor Assistant Teachers
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
