Job Summary
EC Teacher with a Bachelor’s degree to plan and provide specialized instruction for students with disabilities in K-4 settings. Responsibilities include developing and implementing IEPs, creating lesson plans and adaptive materials, employing multi-sensory instructional strategies, monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines, and collaborating with families and professionals to promote students’ educational, physical, and social-emotional development. The role emphasizes adapting the general education curriculum, designing activities to meet individualized goals, managing behavior, and delivering inclusive instruction across various settings, with responsibilities to develop and maintain IEPs, collect data for interventions, and engage in ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Ability to complete observations, conduct IEP meetings and create relevant IEPs for each student
- Initial eligibility and reevaluation process for each student
- Ability to work effectively and collaborate with colleagues, directors, and students
