EC Teacher - General Curriculum @ Grier STEAM Academy

EC Teacher provides special education services to students identified as disabled under State and Federal regulations, develops and implements IEPs, and delivers instruction in a variety of styles to support academic, behavioral, and social goals. Responsibilities include planning and implementing instructional plans aligned with IEPs, developing and updating IEPs from diagnostic information, maintaining student records in accordance with NC procedures, communicating progress to parents, acting as case coordinator with support professionals and families, and ensuring compliance with state/federal education statutes. The role requires knowledge of special education laws, curricula and instructional methods, ability to monitor safety and behavior in inclusive settings, and the ability to establish effective working relationships. Minimum qualification is a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education with licensure (88091) or eligibility; the position is in Gastonia, NC.
