Job Summary
EC Teacher responsible for planning and delivering specialized instruction to students with disabilities, developing and implementing IEPs, creating lesson plans and adapting materials to meet diverse needs, maintaining records in compliance with laws and district policies, collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams, and providing direct/indirect instructional support in inclusive settings. Requires knowledge of ABSS curriculum, behavioral supports, and effective instructional practices; Spanish speaking preferred in some cases; includes responsibilities for monitoring student progress, data collection, and communicating with parents and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution in an approved program in special education
- Must possess valid NC certification in the area of Exceptional Children in one or more specialty areas, or be eligible to receive certification
- Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
