Job Summary
EC Teacher - General Curriculum provides specialized instruction for students with disabilities, develops and implements IEPs, creates adaptive lesson plans, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, maintains records, and supports inclusive classroom environments. Responsibilities include developing personalized instructional strategies, implementing behavioral supports, conducting IEP meetings and reevaluations, ensuring compliance with state/federal mandates, and collaborating with parents and professionals to promote students’ educational, physical, and social-emotional development. Requires NC Exceptional Children certification (or eligibility) and a NC driver’s license; Master’s degree preferred and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education from an accredited institution
- Must possess valid NC certification in Exceptional Children, or be eligible to receive certification
- Must possess a valid NC driver's license
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Spanish Speaking (preferred)
