Job Summary
The EC Teacher for the 2026-2027 academic year is responsible for providing special education services to students with disabilities, developing and implementing Individual Education Programs (IEPs), and monitoring student progress in accordance with state and federal regulations. Responsibilities include planning and delivering specialized instruction, maintaining classroom discipline, adapting materials, communicating with parents, and collaborating with support professionals. Key skills necessary for this role include the ability to motivate and monitor students, maintain classroom order, use various teaching methods, and effectively communicate both orally and in writing. Candidates must possess relevant educational qualifications and a valid teaching license.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in education or in a related area
- Valid licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction or is in the process of working towards licensure
