Job Summary
EC TEACHER ASSISTANT to assist and support the teacher with planning, organizing and preparation of instructional materials, and to provide support for clerical, technical and general classroom functions. Responsibilities include collecting data on IEP goals and behavior plans; helping maintain a safe and healthful environment; assisting students with understanding school and classroom rules; helping students maintain cleanliness and neatness; interacting effectively with students, teachers, administrators, co-workers, parents and the community; and modeling positive behavior. Position is 37.5 hours per week, 10-month term, Granite Quarry, NC.
Required Qualifications
- 48 semester hours which include core courses with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from accredited institution
- Associate Degree or higher with an overall 2.5 or higher GPA from an accredited institution
- WorkKeys testing in Math (min score 4); Reading (min score 4); and Writing (min score 3)
- Requires lifting of 15+ pounds
