EC Teacher Assistant

Exceptional Children Teacher Assistant role supporting classroom instruction under the teacher and principal supervision. Responsibilities include providing academic and individualized instruction, conducting group and one-on-one activities, preparing visual aids, duplicating materials, proctoring tests, monitoring student behavior, reporting progress, maintaining data such as attendance and health records, and assisting with discipline policies. Requires working knowledge of effective methods for children, ability to prepare learning aids, and ability to follow written and oral instructions with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills to interact with administrators, staff, and the public, plus confidentiality of student information. Suitable for individuals with a 2- or 4-year degree or equivalent coursework, and willingness to support a broad range of instructional tasks in a school setting.
