Job Summary
Provide support to the Exceptional Children (EC) teacher in instructional delivery, including one-on-one support for students with special needs, preparation of visual aids and instructional materials, supervision and monitoring of student behavior, attendance reporting, data entry for health records, and serving as a substitute teacher when needed. Requires broad knowledge of effective methods for working with children, ability to compose routine reports, maintain confidentiality, operate audiovisual equipment, and implement teacher-designed strategies to achieve instructional objectives. The role emphasizes assisting with instruction, progress reporting, classroom setup, and adherence to district policies and ADA requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 2 or 4 year degree in any area OR
- Completion of 96 Community College/University contact hours and an acceptable score on college placement tests in reading, writing and math.
