Job Summary
EC Teacher Assistant provides support to the EC teacher in instruction of eligible students with disabilities, including delivering group and individualized instruction, preparing materials, supervising testing, collecting data on IEP/BIP services, assisting with daily living activities, behavior monitoring, and maintaining records. Requires a High School diploma, 48 hours of college coursework (GPA 2.0 or WorkKeys Certification), and strong communication skills; experience with children preferred; must obtain a DHHS qualification letter and participate in ongoing training. Must be physically capable of light work and assisting with classroom and student needs, including data documentation, behavior guidance, and collaboration with teachers and families.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework with GPA 2.0 or WorkKeys Certification
- Two years of experience with children preferred or equivalent
- Must obtain a DHHS qualification letter
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to undergo further training
- Experience using computer
