Job Summary
Provides support to the EC teacher in instruction of students with disabilities. Delivers group instruction as prescribed by the EC teacher and offers individualized instruction. Implements data collection for IEP/BIP services, prepares visual aids and instructional materials, and assists with daily living activities (toileting, feeding, hygiene). Monitors student behavior, assists with classroom management, and records student progress and discipline as required. Performs testing proctoring, participates in staff development, and communicates with parents and schools. Requires a High School diploma and additional coursework (minimum 48 college hours) with DHHS qualification letter; prior experience with children preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Minimum of 48 hours of college level coursework
- Two years of experience working with children preferred
- Must obtain a DHHS qualification letter
- Willingness to undergo further training as required
