EC TA Clarke Elementary School (Autism)

EC Teacher Assistant supports Exceptional Children teachers in delivering instruction and services to students with disabilities. This role assists with implementing lesson plans, provides one-on-one and small group support, supports inclusion classrooms, reinforces concepts, and helps ensure accommodations and modifications per student IEPs. Responsibilities include behavior support and implementing behavior intervention plans under teacher direction, maintaining a safe structured learning environment, assisting with IEP documentation and data collection, supporting testing environments (including EOCs), supervising students during transitions and activities, and collaborating with EC, general education staff, counselors, and administrators. Required qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED and experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting. Preferred competencies include knowledge of IEPs, behavior plans, and inclusive practices, plus CPI or de-escalation training, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
