Job Summary
Support exceptional education teachers in developing Individualized Education Plans, interpreting testing data, and ensuring compliance with N.C. policies through in-house audits. Assist with classroom accommodations, initial placements, reevaluations, and manifestation processes while serving as a liaison to the Department of Public Instruction Monitoring Division. Provide direct support to students with special needs and their families, contribute to Professional Learning Communities, and analyze program data for personnel allotment. Participate as part of the Instructional Design and Innovation team to drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma

- some college coursework in Special Education, Psychology, or related field
- Experience working with children or individuals with disabilities

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of IEPs, 504 Plans, and special education laws
