Job Summary
EC Program Specialist provides instructional and behavioral support across all schools, with a primary focus on students eligible for Exceptional Children (EC) services. Responsibilities include classroom and curriculum coaching, professional development for staff, providing beginning teacher support, targeted student interventions, and behavior support to promote academic and social success. Responsibilities also include assisting case managers to create procedures, conducting classroom visits and coaching, observing students to identify strategies, aiding with EC policies and practices, utilizing technology for training, staying current on instructional best practices, fidelity monitoring, data collection, developing and delivering professional development, monitoring and training beginning teachers, and organizing program-specific PLCs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with coursework in special education, or related field
- North Carolina Teacher Certification, or State Licensure in related field
- At least 3-5 years experience as an EC Teacher
