Job Summary
Assist the supervising teacher in reinforcing and accelerating learning for PreK students while maintaining awareness of classroom goals and objectives. Provide feedback on student progress and keep accurate, up-to-date progress reports. Model outstanding character and adhere to all laws, rules, and regulations, serving as a positive role model for children, parents, staff, and the community. Drive a bus as needed and requested by the Principal, holding a valid license. Maintain punctuality and demonstrate a high level of ability to accept assigned responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in early childhood education
- High School Diploma
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Possession of an equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position
- Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, write, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment
- Reach with hands and arms
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds
- A requirement that a license to drive a bus be obtained and maintained
- Drive a bus as needed and requested by the Principal
