EC Pre-K Teacher Assistant

Reinforce lessons presented by teachers by reviewing material with students one-on-one or in small groups; enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behavior; and help supervise students in class, between classes, during lunch and recess, and on field trips. Assist teachers with recordkeeping, such as tracking attendance and calculating grades, and prepare for lessons by getting materials ready or setting up equipment. When working with exceptional children, adapt information and tasks to students' learning styles and IEP goals, or support basic needs like transitions and personal hygiene. Report student incidents or complaints to the supervising teacher and safeguard all student-related information. This role requires an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA certification and reports to the Principal.
