Job Summary
Provides direct support and supervision to students with disabilities who require assistance with personal care, mobility, health-related needs, behavioral support, and access to educational programs. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, toileting, feeding, mobility, transfers, classroom support, behavior support, safety supervision, and collaboration with staff and families. Requires knowledge of personal care procedures, student safety practices, and the ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, lift and transfer students, push wheelchairs, and use adaptive equipment; completion of required training programs and adherence to district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 48 semester hours of creditable college coursework
- ability to work effectively with students with disabilities
