Job Summary
Provides student-focused instructional support to an assigned student throughout the instructional day, assisting with activities such as feeding, toileting, lifting, and behavior management while collaborating with the student’s teachers to maintain an effective classroom learning environment. Delivers individualized instructions and directions, monitors student task engagement, reinforces achievement, assists with data collection and reporting, and helps manage student behavior. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain confidentiality of student information. CPI certification is required yearly, and the role requires strong communication skills and familiarity with educational policies and rules.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with CPI certification yearly
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
- Maintain confidential student information
- Willingness to collaborate with teachers and staff
