Job Summary
EC&I Technician role at Veolia, Chilton. Responsibilities include carrying out repairs, calibration, and both planned and breakdown maintenance on plant and apparatus including process monitoring transducers, automated equipment, emissions monitoring equipment and PLC/DCS systems; maintaining maintenance records; diagnosing and remedying defects; proposing improvements and modifications; liaising with operations and maintenance staff; supervising contractors as required; maintaining safe, clean workshop and work areas; and adhering to H&S, Environmental and Quality procedures. Requires experience in maintenance techniques for control systems, pneumatic/hydraulic transducers, instrumentation, and a good understanding of PLC systems; minimum 3 years in a continuous process industry; strong communication skills; willingness to work a rota including some weekend work; and flexibility to attend site outside normal hours.
Required Qualifications
- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent; qualified to HNC or equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
