Job Summary
EC&I Technician role supporting the Lead EC&I Technician in delivering EC&I engineering and maintenance activities to the px Group Operating Standard. Responsibilities include planning and executing EC&I maintenance, identifying and managing operational risk, recording and investigating faults, supervising internal and external personnel to meet safety and quality standards, coordinating safety planning and outage works, and assisting the project team with handover and execution of major outages. The role requires time-served apprenticeship with NVQ L3 in mechanical discipline (or equivalent), IOSHManaging Safely (or willingness to obtain), and experience in power generation or high-hazard environments with strong maintenance and reporting capabilities. The role emphasizes on-site work at Energy Works Hull with opportunities for training, mentoring, and development reviews.
Required Qualifications
- Time served apprentice, NVQ Level 3 in mechanical discipline (or equivalent)
- IOSH Managing Safely or willingness to work towards
- Experience in power generation, energy from waste or 24/7 high hazard operational manufacturing environments with significant line management experience
- Ability to maintain rotating equipment, steam raising systems, piping and valves
- Competency in using a Central Maintenance Management System to complete accurate reporting, trending and improvement of work orders
