Job Summary
EC&I Engineer to support the Nuclear sector in the UK, responsible for translating high-level requirements into detailed electrical, control, and instrumentation designs, creating schematics/wiring diagrams/layouts, and collaborating with vendors to meet technical specs and timelines. Key duties include designing electrical/control/instrumentation systems, ensuring compliance with IEC standards (IEC 61513, 61227, 61508), and developing systems using tools such as ETAP and EPLAN. Must possess strong knowledge of design/simulation tools, grid codes, regulatory frameworks, and exposure to safety-critical environments. Desirable experience includes PLC programming (Siemens, Rockwell/Allen-Bradley, Schneider), SCADA/HMI development, control panel design, instrumentation selection/calibration, industrial communications (Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP), PID control, low-voltage systems, and site commissioning. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.
