Job Summary
The EC General Curriculum Teacher will provide special education services to students identified as disabled, developing and implementing Individual Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs. The teacher is responsible for creating lesson plans, teaching methods, and adapting materials to support academic and behavioral progress. Key responsibilities include directly instructing students, monitoring behavior, maintaining discipline, assisting with personal needs, and communicating with parents regarding educational progress. The position requires effective record maintenance and adherence to state and federal guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Eligible for a teaching license in NC
- Degree in special education
- Certification in at least one area of disability as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction
