Job Summary
Center-Based General Curriculum Teacher provides specialized instruction aligned with grade-level standards for students with neurodivergent needs; develops and implements Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) with fidelity; differentiates instruction using evidence-based practices; uses data-driven decision-making to monitor progress; implements accommodations, modifications, and assistive technology as outlined in IEPs; supports students’ academic, social-emotional, communication, and executive functioning skills; collaborates with general education teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families; participates in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings; maintains accurate records and compliance documentation; ensures adherence to federal, state, and district special education regulations; fosters a safe, inclusive classroom environment and uses structured routines to promote engagement and independence. The role emphasizes collaboration, assessment, data analysis, and instructional planning to maximize student achievement in the least restrictive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina teaching license in Special Education.
- Knowledge of special education laws, procedures, and compliance requirements.
