Job Summary
EC teacher plans, organizes, and presents instruction and instructional environments to help students learn subject matter and skills, supervises teacher assistants, and maintains effective classroom practices. Responsibilities include rapid lesson start, time-on-task management, adherence to classroom rules, rigorous instructional presentation with clear objectives, monitoring student performance, providing timely feedback, facilitating instruction aligned to curricular goals, and performing non-instructional duties while ensuring safety and appropriate professional behavior. Minimum qualification: a degree in education or a related area qualifying for licensure as a teacher by the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction; licensure or eligibility for licensure in North Carolina. The role emphasizes creating an inclusive, engaging classroom that supports student development and collaborates with colleagues, parents, and the community.

- North Carolina Teacher Licensure OR Eligibility for Alternative North Carolina Teacher Licensure
