EC Behavior Liaison

Job Summary
The EC Behavior Liaison provides consulting and coaching to schools to create positive, disciplined learning environments, supports teachers and administrators with management and discipline strategies, mentors new teachers, and delivers professional development related to behavior techniques. Responsibilities include assisting in developing Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavioral Intervention Plans, serving on support teams, collecting and analyzing behavioral data, recommending changes based on data, coaching teachers through observed sessions to develop adaptive skills, identifying behavioral trends impacting instruction, and maintaining CPI trainer certification. The role requires ensuring compliance with district and state requirements, maintaining data reporting for funding to NCDPI, and supporting positive classroom climates across RCSS district schools. Must hold a NC Teaching Certification in Special Education or related field and a valid NC driver’s license; preferred qualifications include Registered Behavior Technician certification and CPI trainer experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education and/or related field
- A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with Autism, Intellectual Disabilities, Behavior, etc in the school setting
- Valid NC Teacher Certification in a field related to Special Education and/or certification or degree in any related field
- Must possess a valid driver’s license issued by the NC Department of Motor Vehicles
