Job Summary
Paralegal/EBT Calendar Clerk in Brooklyn responsible for accurately entering and maintaining calendar entries for court deadlines, hearings, motions, conferences, depositions, and EBT schedules; monitor and docket filings and schedule changes; communicate with attorneys, paralegals, court clerks, clients, and opposing counsel regarding scheduling changes; manage EBT scheduling, verify availability of court reporters and deponents, prepare notices, and enter related calendar events; generate calendar reports and reminders for critical deadlines; support docketing and e-filing; maintain organized records of calendaring activity. Requires at least 5 years of experience in legal scheduling roles, proficiency with calendar/case management systems, strong understanding of court rules, excellent organizational and communication skills, and attention to detail. NY e-filing familiarity and a paralegal certificate are preferred. Based in Brooklyn, NY with in-person work expectations; salary range $60,000–$75,000 plus benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a calendar clerk, docketing clerk, EBT coordinator, or similar legal scheduling role (preferably in a law firm or litigation environment)
- Proficiency with legal calendaring and case management systems (PC- or MAC-based)
- Strong understanding of court rules and deadline requirements for state and federal courts
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Professional demeanor and ability to interact with attorneys and external parties
- Preferred: Paralegal certificate or legal administrative training
- Familiarity with NY e-filing systems (e.g., NYSCEF, CM/ECF)
