Job Summary
Manage a team of commercial lenders by soliciting new loans from existing customers and business owners, while establishing key relationships to increase the book of business. Conduct regular business development calls to promote Treasury Management and Retail products, negotiate fees and interest rates, and lead complex workouts. Review credit presentations for approval, analyze credit portfolios for risk ratings, and prepare weekly reports on pipeline, prospects, and pending loans. Execute action plans to ensure no past due loans exist at month or quarter end, maintaining full compliance with federal and state regulations. Report unit growth goals regarding loan outstanding, demand deposits, and fees to senior management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or Finance related field
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Financial Institution or other related area
- Prior experience managing, maintaining, and growing large portfolios
- Excellent leadership, written and verbal skills
- Ability to use various Bank related PC applications including, but not limited to the following: Windows, E-mail, SilverLake, Streamline, Jack Henry, Word processing, EXCEL and data entry
- Detail-oriented
- Strong negotiating skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with emphasis on correct English grammar
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, initiative and tact in dealing with staff, management, supervisors, staff and the general public
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and resources to ensure work is completed in a timely manner
- Ability to organize projects, prioritize workflow and complete multiple tasks simultaneously and accurately
- Must be able to effectively lead and coach others
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
