Earthwork Foreman

Job Summary
Earthwork Foreman overseeing site grading for commercial, industrial, development, wind and road construction projects in the Midwest/Central US. Responsibilities include operating equipment (blade, dozer, excavator, water truck, off-road trucks, skid steer), coordinating with subcontractors to plan and execute work, interpreting specifications, and ensuring on-time delivery. Inspects ongoing work for conformance to specifications and schedules, manages a workforce of approximately 5 to 15 workers, assists the Project Manager with expediting materials procurement, scheduling and project documentation, and enforces project safety regulations. Travel may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Previous supervisory level and civil construction experience
- Ability to be a team leader under challenging conditions
- Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple operations
- Demonstrate ability to promote a safe work environment
- Dependability: showing initiative and good follow through
- Ability to problem solve and adjust to changing circumstances
