Job Summary
Plan and deliver creative, age-appropriate activities including storytelling, arts, sensory play, and outdoor adventures while ensuring children's wellbeing. Create a warm, safe environment by upholding safeguarding policies, managing hygiene routines, and maintaining accurate records. Build positive relationships with parents and team members to promote early years best practice. This term-time role involves 17.5 hours per week (14.30–18.00) at Iver Heath Infant & Junior School. Level 3 qualification in Early Years is essential.
Required Qualifications
- Level 3 Qualification in Early Years
- Enhanced DBS check
- Children's Barred List Check
- Exemption from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
- Satisfactory DBS and suitability checks
- Knowledge of safeguarding
- Knowledge of Health & Safety policies
- Confidence to lead Early Years activities
- Ability to support a team
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for children
- Ability to plan, lead, and deliver structured activities
- Ability to support children's development and wellbeing
- Ability to provide healthy snacks, support toileting and hygiene routines
