Job Summary
Develop and conduct developmental screenings for children birth to age 3 using ASQ tools, collaborating with partner clinics and hospitals to raise awareness of SCLARC services. Provide families with referrals, resources, and ongoing support through grant-driven processes; track and report data as required by the grant. Co-located at partner sites; responsibilities include community outreach, presentations on child development and red flags for autism, and ensuring referrals are connected to appropriate services. Requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or an AA with relevant experience), ability to coordinate with community agencies, and California Driver's License; Spanish preferred. Some evenings/weekends may be assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university in child development, psychology, social work, or a related field, OR an AA in child development or Early Child Education combined with relevant experience
- Previous experience in administration of early childhood screening tools preferred
- Experience coordinating with community agencies serving families with young children birth to five
- Ability to provide referrals and resources to parents and caregivers, and to conduct outreach and presentations in the community
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish preferred
