Job Summary
Provide instructional support for K-3 students as part of ERIA intervention efforts. Assist classroom teachers in planning, implementing, and assessing instructional programs; work with multiple groups across classrooms; maintain accurate student data; participate in required training; administer assessments and tailor activities to reach individual and targeted groups; perform clerical duties related to instructional activities; grant-funded position aligned to the school calendar and 10-month/part-time schedule (up to 25 hours per week). Collaborate with teachers to share student achievement information and support language arts objectives in small groups; ensure documentation and records are maintained for student progress; assist in data collection and analysis to support instructional goals.
Required Qualifications
- Requires an associate's degree or achievement of a qualifying score on the HCS IA Assessment test
- Applicants possessing a Virginia License or eligible for Virginia License in K-3 preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or qualifying score on HCS IA Assessment
- Virginia K-3 license or eligible for Virginia License in K-3 preferred
- Experience or education related to working with students in an instructional setting preferred
- General knowledge of basic reading and writing
- Some knowledge of basic instructional strategies
- Some knowledge of basic child learning and development principles
- Ability to apply basic instructional concepts in a classroom
- Effective oral and written communication
- Ability to work with diverse students and backgrounds
