Job Summary
Join the WSP Transportation Team as a Traffic Engineer responsible for assisting with technical analysis using traffic engineering software, conducting inspections, and preparing data visualizations for multiple traffic engineering projects. Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in engineering and 0 to 3 years of relevant experience. Proficient knowledge in traffic engineering principles, technical writing, and project management is essential. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to field review projects, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or closely related discipline
- 0 to 3 years of relevant post education experience in engineering
- Strong background in traffic engineering design and client/project management
- Proficient and extensive knowledge of traffic engineering principles
- Assist with traffic engineering software (HCS, Synchro, Sidra, VISSIM)
- Proficiency in Computer Aided Drafting and/or Open Roads Designer understanding
- Knowledge of or willing to learn AGi32 photometric analysis
- Proficient with technical writing and documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
- Prior transportation, traffic, and/or electrical design experience
- A member of and/or actively participates in local professional practice organizations
- Professional Engineer in Training Certification, or ability to register within 12 months
