Job Summary
Provide intentional, data-driven literacy instruction and intervention to TK–2nd grade students, focusing on phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, and the Big Five Literacy Skills. Implement research-based scripted interventions in one-on-one or small group settings daily, ensuring fidelity while assessing child outcomes using fall, winter, and spring benchmarks. Collaborate with Lead Teacher Coaches and principals to set instructional schedules, report progress, and make data-informed modifications. Record student and program data accurately in online databases or Excel documents weekly. Participate in literacy coaching sessions twice monthly to review student progress and incorporate feedback. Attend required trainings including SEEDS and SIPPS, and complete electronic timesheets as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Speak, read, write and understand English fluently
- Computer skills, including the ability to navigate and use online database systems and e-mail daily
- Energetic, results-oriented, student-focused style, coupled with strong planning and time management skills
- Valid California Driver's License, if applicable
- Must be able to attend the 4 day TK SEEDS of Early Learning training and/or SIPPS Training, as designated by Early Literacy Coaches
