Job Summary
Teach reading and writing to small groups of up to three elementary students (K-6, with a focus on K-2 phonics) at Sylvan Learning Center using pre-planned lessons. Lead instruction, motivate students, and support individualized learning plans. No lesson planning or homework grading; no parent-conferencing. Schedule is flexible with most teachers working 2-5 days/week. In-person position in Lafayette, LA. Required Qualifications
- Teaching Credential recommended (required for some subjects)
- Minimum of one or two years of teaching experience preferred
- Ability to multi-task
- Knowledge of general office equipment such as copiers, printers, and office phones
