Job Summary
Develop, revise, and maintain districtwide curriculum documents, pacing guides, and instructional resources aligned to TEKS and state standards. Design, revise, and support the implementation of district common assessments while analyzing performance data to identify trends and adjust instructional supports. Monitor consistent implementation of curriculum frameworks across campuses and conduct reviews to ensure alignment with district priorities. Facilitate professional learning communities and collaborate with campus leadership to strengthen instructional coherence and fidelity. Support the design and implementation of the Texas Reading Academies. Remain current on TEKS updates and instructional best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
- Deep understanding of developmentally appropriate practice for early childhood (PK-2nd)
- Deep understanding of curriculum design, instructional planning, assessment development, and Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS)
- Knowledge of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) and implementation practices
- Strong understanding of instructional systems, curriculum alignment, and data analysis practices
- Ability to analyze student achievement data and support instructional decision-making
- Strong organizational, collaboration, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to lead professional learning and facilitate collaborative planning structures
- Minimum of 5 years of successful instructional experience
- Experience in curriculum development, instructional leadership, or district-level academic support
- Experience facilitating professional learning and supporting campus instructional systems
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred
- Completion of Texas Reading Academies Screener preferred
- ESL Certification Preferred
- Experience facilitating Texas Reading Academies as a Cohort Leader
