Job Summary
Supervise students individually or in group settings while consistently monitoring their learning, behaviors, and self-help skills. Be available for any student need including health, toileting, and behavior support. Work under the direction of professional staff and attend district workshops and trainings to continue learning about Early Childhood Education. Perform these duties seven hours and thirty minutes per day, four days per week from Monday through Thursday. Requires at least 12 credit hours in early childhood education, a current CDA credential, and pediatric first aid and CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must have at least 12 credit hours in early childhood education
- a current CDA credential
- two years post secondary education or Paraeducator certificate
- Required to obtain pediatric first aid and CPR
- Willingness to assume responsibility
- Ability to work well with others
- Flexibility in working with classroom teachers
- Ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Enjoy working with preschool age children
- Ability to effectively supervise students while maintaining a positive relationship with them
