Job Summary
Lead Teacher responsible for developing, planning, and implementing quality programming in Infant/Toddler or Preschool classrooms under the Early Learning Director. Supervises teacher assistants, tracks daily records, and supports staff training to meet DHS 3-Star standards. Develops programming, oversees daily activities, lesson planning, and family engagement activities. Maintains knowledge of center philosophy, TDHS licensing, TNELDS, ITERS/ECERS criteria, communicates policies to staff and families, upholds Y core values, and ensures safety and compliance with health standards. Requires ability to solve problems, coordinate scheduling, training plans, and deliver developmentally appropriate programs while modeling caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates Degree or higher preferred
- 1-3 years supervisory experience
- Experience with DHS licensed child care/early childcare
- Y Team Leader certification preferred
