Job Summary
Conduct daily preschool care for 2.9-3 year olds, ensuring safety, managing small group ratios, and maintaining accurate attendance records. Implement age-appropriate curriculum with differentiated instruction, record weekly child observations, and communicate progress to parents. Collaborate with co-teachers on classroom design and material organization, while adhering to YMCA policies, state licensing regulations, and QRIS standards. Lead by example as a positive role model, utilizing constructive behavior management and facilitating smooth transitions. Participate in monthly team-planning meetings and prepare for annual audits. Work full-time Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 5:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- Present documentation of achieved degree from an accredited college or university in education or human services related field
- Verify a minimum of one (1) year (2,000 hours) of child-care experience
- You are detail oriented
- You possess and utilize excellent organizational skills
- You follow all regulations
- You are able to become First Aid and CPR certified within first six months of employment
- You will obtain the Y's Child Abuse Prevention Training prior to commencing your employment
- You will obtain Blood Born Pathogen Training within the first 30 days of employment
- You will obtain Sexual Harassment Training within the first 30 days of employment
