Early Learning Center Teacher

Job Summary
As an Early Learning Teacher, you will work collaboratively in an early intervention preschool program supporting children facing high stress, trauma, or crisis. Key responsibilities include planning and implementing activities for preschool-aged children, fostering skills for healthy relationships and self-regulation, and supporting children during transportation and classroom activities. Candidates must possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) or valid equivalent qualifications, along with experience in a childcare setting. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, along with strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) (preschool) AND 9 months experience working within a childcare setting with preschool children from diverse communities
- Certificate as a Child Development Assistant AND 1 year experience working within a childcare setting with preschool children from diverse communities
- Other eligibility for Teacher qualification from DHS
- Current pediatric Red Cross First Aid and CPR training (may be taken after hire)
- Demonstrated ability to understand and work well with young children and families challenged by economic and social problems
- Commitment to collaborative classroom teaching
- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of people
- Easily navigate smart phone technology and a laptop, or be willing to learn
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Social Work, or similar major
Additional Requirements
- Must be cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study
- Must have a drivers’ license; a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is required
