Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive family and child assessments to drive individualized service delivery for infants and toddlers with developmental delays. Provide early intervention services in natural environments while coaching caregivers to create learning opportunities throughout the child's day. Develop functional Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) goals, monitor progress, and submit accurate routine documentation as required by DHHS and KIDS policies. Maintain professional relationships with families, attend mandatory staff meetings and trainings, and travel established territory as needed. Ensure client records remain confidential and up to date while functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Must be willing to travel established territory as needed
- A Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Education: Early Childhood, Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education
- Child/Human Development
- Interdisciplinary Studies (with approval from BabyNet State Office): with a focus in Early Childhood, Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education
- Child Life
- Communication Disorders (does not require SLP licensure)
- Family Studies/Family and Consumer Sciences
- Psychology
- At least one year of documented experience working with infants and toddlers OR working with children ages birth to 5 years with disabilities
- Must submit an application to the Team for Early Childhood Solutions (TECS) office and meet requirements for the South Carolina Infant-Toddler Credential
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience with South Carolina's BabyNet Early Intervention Program
