Early Interventionist (80669)

Job Summary
Maintain a caseload of thirty-five clients by establishing professional relationships with families, developing Individualized Family Service plans, and monitoring IFSP goals against Part C of IDEA and BabyNet policies. Function as an interdisciplinary team member to facilitate the early intervention process, assist families in accessing health care and community resources, and coordinate transitions to Part B services through school districts and receiving agencies. Provide linkage, referral, advocacy, and crisis support while submitting accurate clinical documentation and attending required staff meetings. Submit transition referrals and maintain timelines for follow-up services with receiving agencies. Willingness to travel established territory is required.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: Education: Early Childhood, Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education
- Child/Human Development
- Interdisciplinary Studies (with approval from BabyNet State Office): with a focus in Early Childhood, Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education, or Elementary Education
- Child Life
- Family Studies/Family and Consumer Sciences
- Licensed Professional Counselor
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
- Psychology
- Public Health
- Social Work
- Sociology
- At least one year of documented experience working with infants and toddlers OR working with children ages birth to 5 years with disabilities
- Must submit an application to the Team for Early Childhood Solutions (TECS) office and meet requirements for the South Carolina Infant-Toddler Credential
- Must be willing to travel established territory as needed
Desired Qualifications
- At least one year of experience with South Carolina's BabyNet Early Intervention Program
